1- How are international students accepted to your university?
Applications are made online through the International Student Application module to a maximum of 10 (ten) programs between the dates specified in the academic calendar for international students.
2- When do Malatya Turgut Ozal University international student applications start?
Applications usually start near or after the end of the academic year. You can follow the Malatya Turgut Ozal University International Student Office website for application dates.
3- What is the language of education and training?
The language of education and training is Turkish. Students who do not speak Turkish are required to receive Turkish language training (TÖMER) after their registration to our university. In addition, 30% of the education is provided in English in some departments. For example, in departments such as English Translation and Interpretation, it is mandatory to know the relevant language.
4- Can you provide information about the annual tuition fee?
Tuition fees are updated every year according to the Presidential Decree. Click for the tuition fees for the 2024 - 2025 academic year.
5- How to get a visa?
Candidates who have applied and whose results are positive will apply to Turkish representatives abroad with the approved acceptance letters and other documents they will obtain from the application system.
7- What is a Residence Permit? How to get it?
The maximum period you can stay in Turkey with a visa is 3 months. You must obtain a residence permit for more than 3 months. All international students must apply for a residence permit within 1 month after entering Turkey. Documents related to residence procedures are sent to the Provincial Immigration Office by universities. However, obtaining the necessary documents is the responsibility of the student. Students who will apply for residence for the first time must fill out the specified form and bring the requested documents to the International Student Office. The office determines a calendar for this and sends the documents to the Malatya Governorship Provincial Immigration Office within this calendar.
As stated in their student visas, students will receive a residence permit covering the period of study they will spend in Turkey and must carry this document with them at all times.
8- How is health insurance done?
All international students who will study in Turkey must apply to the Social Security Institution Provincial Health Directorate and obtain insurance with a written petition within 3 months of their university registration date. All students who do not apply to the Provincial Health Directorate with a written petition within this period will not be able to benefit from this right again during their education period.
9- Are there any scholarship opportunities for international students?
There is no scholarship opportunity provided by our university. However, our students can benefit from special scholarship opportunities according to their own wishes.
10- Is the Foreign Student Exam (YÖS) held at Malatya Turgut Özal University?
The YÖS exam will not be held as of the 2024-2025 academic year.
11- Are the YÖS exams held by other universities valid?
No. Only the central exam TRYÖS held by ÖSYM is valid.
12- What criteria are taken into consideration when evaluating applications?
In order to be accepted to Malatya Turgut Özal University, it is necessary to be successful in the exams specified in the MTÜ International Student Admission Directive.
13- What are the dormitory opportunities?
Our university does not have a dormitory. However, there are many state or private dormitories in the city.
