Application Requirements

1) For applications to associate degree and undergraduate programs, provided that they are in their last year of high school or have graduated:

a) Foreign nationals (provided that those who are studying in secondary education (high school) institutions in Turkey have enrolled before the 2022-2023 academic year [except for embassy schools, international private education institutions included in the MOBİS system and foreign nationals brought to our country within the framework of the project carried out by the Ministry of National Education]),

b) Those who are Turkish citizens by birth and who have received permission from the Ministry of Interior to renounce Turkish citizenship and their minor children registered in the certificate of renunciation of Turkish citizenship and who document that they have a “Certificate on the Exercise of Recognized Rights” in accordance with the Turkish Citizenship Law (Article 7 of the Turkish Citizenship Law No. 5901 stipulates that “(1) A child born within or outside Turkey to a Turkish citizen mother or father within the marriage union is a Turkish citizen.” and it is beneficial for candidates who will apply for admission quotas from abroad to examine the Turkish Citizenship Law),

c) Foreign nationals who acquired Turkish citizenship through acquired citizenship while they were foreign nationals / dual nationals in this situation (provided that those studying in secondary education (high school) institutions in Turkey have enrolled before the 2022-2023 academic year),

d) Students of Turkish nationality who started secondary education abroad before 01/02/2013 and completed the last three years of their secondary education (high school) in a foreign country other than TRNC (including those who completed their entire secondary education (high school) in Turkish schools opened by the Ministry of National Education in a foreign country other than TRNC) and those who started secondary education abroad after 01/02/2013 and completed their entire secondary education (high school) in a foreign country other than TRNC (including those who completed their entire secondary education (high school) in Turkish schools opened by the Ministry of National Education in a foreign country other than TRNC),

e) TRNC nationals who reside in the TRNC and have GCE AL exam results who have completed their secondary education in the TRNC, and those who have or will have GCE AL exam results by enrolling and studying in colleges and high schools in other countries between 2005-2010 are accepted to apply.

2) Applications of international student candidates with the following qualifications are not accepted:

a) Turkish nationals who have completed their entire secondary education (high school) in Turkey or TRNC,

b) TRNC nationals (except those who have completed their entire secondary education (high school) in TRNC high schools and have GCE AL results and those who have or will have GCE AL exam results by enrolling and studying in colleges and high schools in other countries between 2005-2010),

c) Dual nationals whose first nationality by birth is Turkish Republic as defined in subparagraph (b) of the first paragraph of Article 7 (except those who completed their entire secondary education in a foreign country other than TRNC/those who completed their entire secondary education in Turkish schools in a foreign country other than TRNC),

d) Dual nationals, one of whose nationality is TRNC (except those who have completed their entire secondary education (high school) in TRNC high schools and have GCE AL results and those who have or will have GCE AL exam results by enrolling and studying in colleges and high schools in other countries between 2005-2010),

e) Turkish nationals or dual nationals whose first nationality at birth is Turkish Republic as defined in subparagraph (b) of the first paragraph of Article 7 who are studying in schools under the embassies in Turkey and foreign high schools in Turkey,

f) TRNC citizens and those who renounced their Turkish citizenship/Blue Card holders and foreign nationals who will enroll in secondary education institutions in Turkey as of the 2022-2023 academic year (excluding embassy schools, international private education institutions included in the MOBİS system and foreign nationals brought to our country within the framework of the project carried out by the Ministry of National Education)”,

g) Turkish citizens who have benefited from scholarships or higher education opportunities granted by the Republic of Turkey to foreign governments through cultural agreements, cultural exchange programs and similar arrangements, and Turkish citizens who graduated from Western European Open Education High School Programs (except those who reside abroad while studying in Western European Open Education High School programs),

h) Turkish citizens who have completed a high school in Turkey, even if they have completed a high school abroad,

i) 2022 and later, those who started their secondary education in a secondary education institution in Turkey and completed their education in these schools; those who are Turkish citizens by birth but have received permission from the Ministry of Interior to renounce Turkish citizenship and their minor children registered in the certificate of renunciation from Turkish citizenship, those who document that they have “Certificate on the Exercise of Recognized Rights” in accordance with the Turkish Citizenship Law, those who acquired Turkish citizenship with the citizenship acquired later while they were foreign nationals / dual nationals in this situation cannot apply.
